The VPN client will only now allow a specific time period to remain
connected, thereafter, the VPN connection is terminated automatically.

You need to configure the idle-time on the head-end device. For example, if the head end device is a PIX, you could use the vpngroup idle-time command to set the idle time. For the PIX, the default is 30 mins.

Hi!
In the IPSEC policy pl. give Lifetime.Then it will stay connected for time which you have mentioned in the life time command.
