VPN client is not supported for Windows 8 and it is recommended that you upgrade to AnyConnect. There are however "hacks" to get Cisco VPN client to work on windows 8 and 10.
Perform these tasks at your own risk. Remember that if you perform these steps and you then request support from Cisco, Cisco can and will deny you support until you revert the configuration back to normal.
