vpn client on linux ISAKMP ERROR

When trying to connect to a vpn server from a Linux vpn client I receive the error:

ISAKMP ERROR: No Valid Phase2 Proposals Found

Tunnel closing.

My windows client (same version) works fine. I've configured it the same as the windows client. I'm hooked directly to a cable modem (removed the cable router). I've killed all processes I don't need.

What could be the problem? Why is there a difference between LInux vpn client and windows vpn client?

The error "ISAKMP no valid phase2 proposals found" indicates that it is not finding an IKE policy (encryption & hash) that matches. Check the configuration on the server and ensure that the transforms on both the ends match. Also reload the server after saving the configuration. This should work.
