I recently setup dsl at my home, and have since been unable to connect by vpn. I had no problems with dial up, but my modem/gateway (adaptec 701g) is not allowing any connections. I'm using the vpn client v4.03. Is there some one who can tell me what ports to open up to allow a vpn connection through?

Make sure you have the "Enable Transparent tunneling" option checked. Modify connection ---> Transport tab ---> Check Enable Transparent tunneling and IPSec over UDP. Your host should also have the option enabled.

Your gateway should allow ports UDP 500 and UDP 4500 as well as the ESP protocol. These are the necessary ports and protocols for VPN traffic.
