A remote user with a Win2000 machine installed DSL software which was provided by his ISP. He connects fine. When he installs VPN software, ISP software cannot find dialing device and fails to establish a connection. When he uninstalls the VPN client, ISP dial-up works fine.
Any tips on how to fix or troubleshoot this??
Thanks
Nick

Is this machine using Windows dial-up networking or is the ISP loading its own dialer? If so, try uninstalling the ISP software, install the VPN client and then install the ISP software. If not, you are probably going to have to troubleshoot this with an engineer at tac. There are a lot of things to look at.

I'm also seeing alot of success with an RASPPPOE Dialer - it's very generic.... but it's that simplicity that makes it works across a range of VPN clients.... http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/
