Dear All,
I try to set up a crypto map, using a hostname, instead of an ip-address, when setting the peers address. (set peer a.b.c.d). It does not work, whats wrong?
Thanks!

You need to change the default behavour of IKE so it will use hostnames. The command syntax for this is "crypto isakmp identity hostname" Then you need either DNS resolution or specify the hostname ie."ip host routera.domain.com 10.0.0.1.

Thank you for your answer! IKE seems to use hostnames instead of ip-adresses, but "set peers hostname" always resolvs the hostname and writes the ip-address in the config. Somthing must be still wrong....?!
