VPN SSL unable to access to servers with CIFS

Hello,

We try to configure our SSL VPN on our ASA 5505, it works with the VNC or RDP plugins, but we can't access to our server with CIFS connection.

When we try to connect to a server with cifs://192.168.1.X, we can see the shared folders and the hidden shared folders,

When we enter in a hidden shared folder, we have to enter an username and password, and after we have an error "communication error with the host".

When we enter in shared folder we have directly the error "communication error with the host".

ASA - CIFS "Error contacting host"

Symptom:

Approximately 28 days after upgrading to 8.0.3.12, webvpn users will see "Error contacting host" when trying to access CIFS shares.

Conditions:

8.0.3.12 uptime of more than 28 days.

Workaround:

Reload the ASA.

Further Problem Description:

It seems the search string sent from the ASA which should be '\*' is only sent as '\' which is causing the error
