Hi,
We've recently started getting weird behaviour on PCs with the Cisco VPNClient installed on them. We're
getting Event Id 5003 TrueVector Service failures and strange behaviour
such as tn3270 sessions timing out / dropping and also ftp clients freezing.
Searching the Internet shows this to be
related to Zone Alarm products (vsdatant.sys) - which seems to be installed as part of the VPNClient.
Has anyone else seen this problem ?
As far as we can tell the problems started after installing MS SQLServer Express (and don't go away after removing it).
We're running
MS Windows XP SP2 + latest updates
Cisco VPNClient 4.8.00044
MS SQLServer Express (9.00.1399.06)
Many Thanks,

I guess this could be related to a bug in the older version of the VPN client, that was suppossed to be fixed in later versions. Does your XP crash with blue screen?

Currently we are having an issue with this even on the latest client. As soon as the VPN connects or if you enable the stateful firewall to always be on, it blue screens with:
*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF6E29DF5, 0xF6F9B9C0, 0x00000000)
*** vsdatant.sys - Address F6E29DF5 base at F6E08000, DateStamp 41f75f5c
This is only on certain PCs though.
