Hi there,
Very quick question.
I have finally talked my MD into replacing our old hardware of the PIX 520 and VPN Conc 3000 at head office... they are falling apart.
I'm going to replace with ASA.
My question is should I get both a firewall and VPN edition ASA or just one type? If just one type then what one?
We aren't heavy VPN users but we do have 7 remote branch officeLAN-2-LAN setups that are crucial as well as (on average) just 30 IPSec connections.
Many thanks for the help!

Wullie,
Here is the link that would help you out in making a decision.

ASA does come with the VPN feature with basic license.
Here is another link for you:

If I was given a choice to choose, it would just be a normal ASA 5510 or ASA 5505
Cheers
Gilbert
Please rate it, if this helps

I would think that if you get the VPN edition it would do the things that you want and need.
