Hi Folks,

We are trying to implement two factor authentications (Certificate & Domain Users) for Cisco Anyconnect VPN users. We successfully installed the CA Root certificate to the ASA through ASDM & after that we generated the identity certificate means (CSR) but while submitting a Cisco ASA CSR (CertificateSigning Request) to an enterprise CA. We are getting error that (request contains no certificate template).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Tabish

Hi Tabish,

Are you submitting the CSR to a 3rd party vendor ( go daddy, verisign , etc ) or using an internal server eg: Microsoft server ?

I worked on some cases where the issue was the Microsoft server. See below:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/910249

You can also double check the procedure to create a CSR on the ASA below:

Hope it helps
