We have been running an ASA 5510 with 9.1(6) for several years now and for the last couple of years connecting to it remotely with AnyConnect 4.5. Now we are looking into upping the user count from 25 to 50. I've run into two potential issues: 1. Supposedly, any new license added will overwrite the current license, so I need to buy a full 50 user license instead of an additional 25 user license. That part I can live with. 2. No one is sure of the compatibility of the current AnyConnect client to work with the ASA. So, since the new license supposedly overwrites the old license, I don't want to go back to zero connections if the new one is not compatible! Can anyone confirm or dispute the compatibility of this?
