Reporting false positive in Web Reputation Score

One of our clients uses an Ironport with Web Reputation Score. They're reporting that the url of our domain (www.direxxis.net) is being blocked. This url is used to host graphics in the emails we send for the client. The domain has been on the same IP for many years and does not contain malware. I cannot determine why the site is suddenly getting blocked as the usage has not changed recently.

How can we get rid of this bad reputation listing?

Thanks!

I would suggest opening a TAC "support" ticket so that the WBRS team can review the URL in question to see if an enhance for the score is possible or not.

Another option would be to WHITELIST the URL manually. See below link for reference.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/web-security-appliance/117932-qa-technote.html

We are not able to open a TAC case since we are not the IronPort user. We requested that our client open a case with them. Unfortunately, them whitelisting is irrelevant since we're sending email on their behalf. We're concerned with this occurring across a much larger population.

You can check the reputation and category in https://www.senderbase.org/lookup/?search_string=www.direxxis.net

Now is neutral:

A neutral reputation can indicate one of two things:

  1. There are slight problems with the IP which are keeping it from having a better reputation, or
  2. There are very low levels of mail flow traffic reported for the IP by the SenderBase Network. Without sufficient email reports, SenderBase cannot accurately generate a reputation for the IP and assigns the IP a "Neutral" reputation.

Generally a neutral reputation is a very good thing, as SenderBase does not view the IP as a potential spam risk. The IP is considered within acceptable SenderBase parameters. SenderBase guidelines do not recommend blocking of emails from senders with neutral reputations.

You should not be blocked by WSA.

Thanks for the update. I concur. It seems this 'naturally' resolved, but I still could not determine the cause.

This is essentially resolved now that it is back to neutral, but I still wish we had some indication of why the site was added.
