Used S170 - can’t connect

Hi all - I just bought a used s170 on eBay and I cannot connect per the startup guide. Assuming it’s because the previous owner didn’t reset the configurations. 

how would you recommend I get in? Nmap when connect to attempt to identify the IP address? Any other tips?

Hello Joshua,

you need TAC to reset the password to login before you can do "resetconfig". even if you get serial/console access , to run the command you will need to login and since you don't have the IP address, I am assuming you wouldn't have the password as well.
