WSA license expiry - behavior

hi All,

I would like to know what is the behavior of the WSA once subscription license has expired?

Will it retain whatever access policy that was configured prior to license expiry

I have a unit of S170, that is left with the below licenses.

Cisco IronPort Web Proxy & DVS Engine ActivePerpetual
Cisco IronPort HTTPS Proxy ActivePerpetual
Cisco AnyConnect Secure MobilityActivePerpetual
Cisco IronPort L4 Traffic MonitorActivePerpetual

No longer able to configure Predefined URL Category Filtering,Content Filtering. Basically not much that can be configured on the ACCESS POLICIES.

I have tried to disable any form of filtering, and just let all traffic through.

However my users are still complaining that

  1. using the PIXSTA(Intragram program), pictures do not show up.
  2. Twitter tweets of external link(certain) does not get though either.

Please advise, on what maybe the issue, or how i can troubleshoot

Hello,

Without feature keys, the features will not be active. Even though you had them configured previously, those settings will no longer take effect. Both the PIXSTA and Twitter applications/sites use HTTPS to communicate with the external servers, with HTTPS proxy enabled the request is still intercepted by the WSA, and without the options to pass-through the connection unexpected behaviors can occur. If you are unable to renew the feature keys, there will be some sites you will need to bypass. Have you tested either of these in the bypass list?
