Hello everyone!
We're facing a challenge with WebEx license management in our large enterprise. When meeting hosts exit without properly ending their sessions or forgets to close meetings, the licenses remain occupied. As Admins, we lack the ability to forcibly end these meetings and free up the licenses through the WebEx admin console.
This becomes problematic when we have a limited number of licenses. New users can't start meetings because licenses are tied up in these 'zombie' sessions. Currently, our only recourse is to manually contact each host to close their meeting, which is time-consuming and inefficient.
I want to understand if it's a widespread problem and if there is a solution for this
thank you!

With one very rare (and risky, IMO) exception, Webex Meetings is licensed by named host. In all instances, even the shared meetings exception, sharing a login amongst multiple humans is a violation of Cisco’s terms. As such it shouldn’t matter if if one user left their meeting running; it shouldn’t impact another user’s ability to start a meeting. The product blocks the same account from hosting multiple meetings concurrently to discourage license violations.

Thank you for your response!
To clarify, our issue pertains to concurrent usage within our organization's license pool, not individual named host licenses. We've purchased a set number of licenses that are shared across our organization. When all licenses are occupied and we know that some are due to improperly closed meetings, we currently have to manually locate and contact those users to free up licenses. This process is inefficient and can delay other users from starting needed meetings. We're seeking a more streamlined solution for managing this scenario within our admin capabilities

Cisco explicitly prohibits sharing a login amongst multiple users in their T&Cs. Each human must have their own unique username and password. If a human wants to host meetings, their account must be assigned meetings entitlement - either the free 40 minute basic offer or a paid license. Are you complying with this requirement?
If yes, what did you purchase? All options on Webex.com are all named host models. Cisco partners and agents can sell named, active host, or enterprise agreements. None of which are concurrent usage models.
