Webinar Audience Participation

Hello,

I have created a webinar and added panelists.  I want to make sure that participants in the webinar can be heard and seen to ask panelist questions.  Can this be done?

Hi @Admissions , thanks for posting your question here in the Webex Community. Glad to have you join us.

I just tested this on my Webinar and noticed that I can request a webinar attendee to unmute but I cannot request they turn their video on. If you hover over a participant in your participant list panel, you can see the red microphone. Click that and it will request the attendee unmutes to ask their question.

If you want everyone joining to be able to be on video, I would recommend scheduling a meeting rather than a webinar. As the host, you still have the ability to make the meeting setting where Attendees cannot unmute themselves. See screenshot attached. If you want your panelists to still be able to unmute themselves, you can always make them Cohosts to the meeting. So, everyone else would be attendees and be seen, but they wouldn't be able to unmute themselves unless you request them to do so.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you answer any more questions. Glad to have you here in the community.

Thank you for the information. I figured out after I sent the message that
it be best to schedule a Webex Meeting over a webinar in order to get
participation from the participants and panelists.
