Incoming calls not showing caller ID

When a call is incoming the mobile and web app simply displays the number, even though the number is saved in the global directory. After the call has been answered (or missed) the call history correctly displays the caller name as per the directory. Is there anyway to amend this? The only work around I have found is to add the caller as a contact in the user directory (e.g. external or other contacts) but this can only be done one at a time so is very time consuming.

FYI, you can add contacts in bulk with a csv.  Manage organization contacts in Control Hub

Not sure about the caller id issue.
