Webex Mic Choppy and Echoing

I’m having a mic issue with Webex only. I’m using an integrated microphone on a Windows 10 machine. The mic works perfectly fine with Zoom, Teams, and Slack. When I connect my AirPods, it also works fine in Webex.

I’ve already updated all my drivers, and Webex is up to date as well. I’m not sure what’s causing the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what might be causing it?

I have heard a few anecdotal reports of sound card driver and app noise removal features conflicting with one another. It's worth trying to disable one or both features just to see if it makes a difference. Within the Webex App this is under Settings > Audio > Smart Audio. You'd need to figure out whether and where an equivalent setting is hiding for the built-in sound card.

If this ends up being the cause, please report back including what sound card you're using and screenshots of the relevant setting you disabled to help others. Ideally also open a TAC case to file a defect.

Do you notice it in all Webex apps (i.e. Webex Meeting, Webex Calling if applicable, etc.)?
