Instructors are struggling with student participation in the virtual instructional world.  We do not require students to have their cameras on because we don't want students to feel uncomfortable with the locations they are accessing their courses from.  It would be great if there was an option for students to open their cameras to the instructor but not to other class members.

Students can use the virtual or blurred background to hide where they are sitting, would that not solve the problem. If the Webex site being used is relatively current that feature should be there.

When background blur is used, students with low bandwidth internet connections (which is most in our area) have connection issues.
