I was too happy because webex was available for Linux, i download the .deb file and downloaded it, but, when i click on it it doesn't open even, i clicked too many times and it's always the same, is it because is an alpha or beta version? maybe is my graphic card, but i don't think is necessary for an app for meetings, thanks

What version of Linux you use. AFAIK its not compatible with all Linux flavours.

And I didn’t see any update on the below link.

I'm using Debian 10 as well, the kernel is the main problem as it doesn't seem to be compatible, you can upgrade your kernel using buster-backports and it is going to work perfectly.

Hi,

I have similar problem to you.

Distro: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

~$ lsb_release -r
Release: 20.04

Linux owczarek 5.4.0-73-generic #82-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 14 17:39:42 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This is Dell M3510 with AMD Graphic and Intel embeded.

My graphical interface is XFCE4 with X11 (no Waylland support), and sometimes run X11 with fluxbox.

Cisco Webex Always Start (version 41.5.0.18815). But when I'm try create Personal Room Meting or connect to sheduled meeting, application was crash.

Is any other person who use XFCE4+ubuntu 20.04 as background?

When I'm run webex from terminal to deebug I'm not see any error.

Hi,

Debian Buster is not supported at this time due to not having default kernel support for user namespace sandboxing. Work-arounds are possible but aren't supported.

Thanks,

James

For interest, I installed the .deb package on Linux Mint and everything seems to work very well.
