webexteams protocol is not rendering in the browser

Hi,

In this article, we can use webexteams://im?email=example@domain.com to be displayed in our email signatures, however it appears to have lost the translation after viewing in any browser (Edge or Chrome).  I'm guessing that "webexteams://im?" is not a standard protocol in the browser world.

Is there any way of getting this to work?  What do you use as a workaround?

Keen to hear from you.

Hi,

Please follow below steps:

1. In signature or email windows, right click to inset a "Link":

2. Program the "Text to Display" and Address:

3. The link will be shown in your signature or email window (You can use outlook tools to change the format to make it smaller or bigger):

Hi Vaijanath,

I'm not looking at how to do it in Outlook app signatures or emails. But rather on how a web browser recipient (or mobile phone recipient) is unable to see the webexteams link.

regards,

Francis

Now I got what you are saying.

A hyperlink to a Webex Teams space is only working in desktop outlook client and not on web browser (Gmail) or mobile device. This could be a limitation or software bug of webexteams protocol. Please try opening a Cisco TAC case.
