training center course materials -zip file issue

I am trying to upload a zip file as a course material download.  I keep getting an unacceptable character in the name error message. there are no unacceptable characters in the name.  Is this not allowed anymore?

Can you try other file formats  like .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, and .xlsx . AFAIk ZIP files are not supported.
