Resolution
A Cisco Access Point (AP) and a Cisco Wireless Bridge cannot associate to each other. Only a workgroup bridge can associate with an AP.You can connect two AP in repeater mode but not in root mode. Instead of establishing a connection between an AP and a bridge you can make two bridges to communicate with each other
Possible associations with an AP are:
- An AP to a client
- An AP to an AP (in repeater mode)
- An AP (in repeater mode) to a base station (in AP mode)
- An AP to a workgroup bridge
