Motorola first phone and next gen first phone troubleshooting requirement guidelines:-

#Below guidelines can be used as part of data collection to troubleshoot unknown/hard engineering issues in 3rd party voice client on Cisco infrastructure(CA/CUWN).

#Refer the motorola phone code certified by cisco's infrastructure through assurewave program.

#Refer latest Best practice guide from Motorola/3rd party on cisco infrastructure.

Infrastructure/Hardware and code detail:-
#Base operating system used on different phone models – win/android/Vocera/win-ce,…
#Protocol used for control channel - sip/sccp/spectralink.
#ip-blu code used on motorola phone model(s) in question.
#Wireless driver version used and its supported ccx version on phone model.
#Name and version of wireless supplicant on phone, if used.
#Cisco Call manager version used, if cisco.
#Version and model of the 3rd party call-manager/voice server used, if different from cisco.
#Name and software version of the different wireless applications used, if application issue.
#Push to talk config detail, if applicable.
#selected/preferred Band on WLAN - AN or GN or both.
#Using single or mixed-mode - wpa-aes, wpa-tkip, wpa2-tkip, wpa2-aes with or without 802.1X.
#WLC and AP's switch port config.
#802.1p config on WLC.
#CAC config on WLC.
#AP model used.

Voice Handset config details:-
#Supported roaming - 11r, 11k, 11w.
#Are DTPC supported/enabled.
#Channel scan mechanism used - All/country/configured.
#RSSI cutoff to roam on same and different band - Roaming aggressiveness configured.
#power save mechanism used/supported.
#power save mode aggressiveness – low/med/high.
#What’s the key-caching mechanism used/supported OKC/PKC.
#Are Cisco’s Aironet IE and cckm supported.
#Voice codec used.
#wmm status on phone.
#world mode/802.11d - enabled/disabled.
#Selected country code?
#Phone Transmit power or TPC - low/med/high – auto/manual.
#Phone Antenna gain and polarization.
#Voice client on band - 11a/g, 11n, 11ac.

Validate RF environment:-
#Attach store/site map and layout, if available. Attach google map, if outside the building.
#Global TPC config on 2.4 and 5ghz.
#Total no. of rogues, if over 100 then check channel utilization on 2.4ghz.
#Attach high channel utilization report from prime, if possible.
#Attach non 802.11 interference device reported on 2.4ghz, applicable when clean-air capable AP is used otherwise use external spectrum expert card.
#Multiple iteration of show client detail from affected location. Parse and map for AP-name, channel no, Respective channel's utilization, RSSI and SnR.
#Attach prime heatmap for the respective or both 2.4 and 5ghz bands, if possible.
#Attach AP visual inspection report from the affected spots. 
#Airmagnet survey report or any survey report that shows the existing RF coverage of site from both bands.

Troubleshooting:-
#Show run-config of WLC.
#Attach network topology.#Eliminate individual handset issue.
#Verify correct number of APs are connected to controller.
#If high channel utilization witnessed on 2.4ghz then move to 5ghz band.
#Attach debug client from WLC and AP debugs while reproducing the issue.
#obtain Wired and Wireless pcap.

Leverage Troubleshoot capability on the phone:-
#How to place the phone on site-survey mode.
#How to place the phone on diag-mode OR collect voice stats or metrics.
#Are any built-in phone-log or debugs available, if so how to enable and make use of them.
