Hi all,
Has anyone setup a way of provision guest users from an SNMP server using the "config netuser" command so you dont have to use Lobby Ambassador and can use your own provisioning system?
Many thx indeed,
Ken

A lobby ambassador cannot access the controller CLI interface and therefore can create guest user accounts only from the controller GUI.
A lobby ambassador would follow these steps to create guest user accounts click this link.

WCS uses SNMP to create them on the WLC.
The problem with using snmp manually is that they keep on changing the snmp oids on the controllers. If you reverse engineering it with packet captures, after an update of controller you may not find again the snmpset commands to do that from CLI.
That would be the only way I can think of creating users not over GUI.

so, wondering if this has been done by anyone??
seems that it would be all too useful for setting up and maintaining these guest accounts.
emulate the WCS actions via SNMP.
any comments woudl be much appreciated..
maybe we will just post what we find.
