CBW150-AX both APs are stuck at 15 dBm at 100% transmit power

Hi there,

My 2 APs CBW150AX-E-UK are stuck at 15 dBm for 2.4GHz transmit power even if setting is set at 100%.

5GHz works fine at 20 dBm.

FW is the latest. Tried changing almost all possible settings with no luck.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

 - Are you using a correct POE-injector and country compliant (according to your country) ?

Hey @marce1000 . It’s powered with CBS110-16PP-EU. As per compliance - was there supposed to be a link in your message?

               - No sorry  for the confusion  .

 - Added reply ; check logs on the AP just after boot , and also after trying to change power ; look for errors , if any ,

No idea what's happening. Posted 2 times with the same result - post disappears

@KJK99I have optimization disabled, enalbing/disabling does nothing.

@marce1000 @johnmolina Nothing meaningful in the logs, but here is what I found in the support dump:

It's very confusing as I know that UK allows up to 100 mW (20 dBm) on 2.4. Any thoughts?

It sounds like a frustrating issue. I've had similar problems before, and here are a few things that worked for me:

Double-check that the regulatory domain is set correctly for the UK. Sometimes, this can limit the power settings.

Ensure there’s no interference from other devices on the 2.4GHz band. Using a WiFi analyzer app can help find a less crowded channel.

Try setting the transmit power manually to just below 100%, like 90%. Sometimes this can bypass restrictions.

If you haven't already, reset the APs to factory settings and reconfigure them. It can clear out any glitches.

Hope this helps!

My CBW150AX shows even lower transmit power and I'm in Canada. I did not look into it since and I think it is a result of the RF Optimalization which I have turned on. The AP works just fine.

So I am still fighting with this issue as I have a spot where I desperately need 20 dBm. I have tested/tried everything I could and the only explanation so far is that antenna gain is set to 3 on 2.4:

Configured Antenna Gain(dBi): 3
Legal Antenna Gain in use(dBi): 4

CBW Software doesn't allow to change this anywhere. The only place where it's actually mentioned is tech_support. Any ideas?
