Cisco 371 since 1st installation of 5 on firmware 1.0.1.5

Hello,

I'm going back to a site tomorrow witch has 5 clustered  371's on firmware 1.0.1.5. The client has told us that he has been having wifi issues? What type of issues I'm unsure about.

I've read resent posts regarding the 371 with intermittent issues or disconnections problems with certain devices.

Of what I have read on here I am thinking to update all wap's to the most resent firmware witch is (1.2.0.2) and make sure the MFP ("Management Frame Protection") is not required.

I have only enabled 2.4ghz and WON'T be enabling the 5ghz radio. What is my best plan of attack? Is there anything else I can do? or have I've missed anything on here?

Kind Regards

Paul

That is really the best plan. The issue that was fixed with the 1.2.0.2 is probably the issue they were having and upgrading is the best option. I would do that before changing any of your other settings.

Eric,

Thank you very much for your fast reply.

Let me amend my original post. Upgrade firmware and change the MFP settings to "Not Required".

Eric,

I have upgraded all the 5 wap's with the new firmware. I did have some teething problems however, I think it was related to the single firmware upgrade? You mentioned in different thread below.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12549571/new-cisco-5-port-wap-351

Prior to the upgrade, I should of unpatched all the Ap's, and then patched one in one at a time, upgraded it, then un-patch and move onto the next Ap..... (Anyway and after a couple of hard resets:-) All was well and now the new firmware is happily running on these 5 Waps.

I didn't however manage to set the MFP to "Not Required"  for running out of time on site and other devices on the network also being upgraded.

Eric, could I just confirm with you, where to find the MFP setting within the Waps GUI?

I presume its under Wireless then, Networks then, choose and tick edit, and then its just a matter of the tick box/check box needs enabling/ticking?

Kind regards

Paul
