Set up a WRVS4400N (current FW) WPA2 wireless LAN. Router IP is still default, DHCP is on. Everything is fine.
I added a WAP200 with current FW in repeater mode to extend the range. All wireless and LAN settings (gateway, DNS, channel, security etc.) are the same as on the WRVS4400N. Set up the MACs in both devices (via site survey) and switched WDS on. The range is now extended but when I connect to the WAP200, I won't get an IP via DHCP from my WRVS4400N?! Then I just turned security OFF and DHCP is passed on to my PC even when connected to the WAP200 repeater. So I assume the configuration should be OK- is there a know issue with passing on DHCP in encrypted networks?
