Hello,
I just purchased a RV180W wireless router. It came with 1.0.0.30 firmware revision installed.
I have tried from multiple computers and multiple browsers to update the firmware on this unit, and I always end up with the same result.
"Firmware file is invalid or corrupted"
I have also downloaded the images (1.0.1.9 and 1.0.2.6) from multiple machines all with the same result.
Has anyone run into this before, or is there something obvious I'm missing?

Hi,
Ensure if you have the firmware file : RV180W-Firmware-1.0.2.6.img
if not you can download from this link
and you can try to connect PC directly to one of the LAN port and tried again
I hope this steps fix the problem
Thanks
Mehdi

I did have the latest firmware. I downloaded it from that link.
I also was trying to update the firmware connected directly to the router via a LAN port. You NEVER update firmware over a wireless connection.
Any other thoughts? Is this a bad or defective unit?

Hello aubreyrhame
Hope your problem is solved by this time.
I have tried to firmware upgrade with device we have. I was successful to upgrade from 1.0.0.30 to 1.0.2.6. I would suggest
Option 1:
Try to re-download the image from cisco.com
Option 2:
If first option does not work try to upgrade to intermediate release version (1.0.1.9) and then to latest version. This worked well when upgrading to a sub-major version on few other small business devices.
Option 3:
Open a case with Small Business Support Center (SBSC).
Please let me know if issue is solved with other solution, would be interested to know about it. Also rate useful replies, it will help others in future.
Great day
