Very Low Signal Strength On 1 Month Old WAP4410N

Purchase the unit from Amazon and installed it in December. Device worked perfectly with excellent coverage  for approx 14 days then I got a call from the location stating that they where not seeing the SSID. Power cycled the unit and still nothing. The only way I could get a signal is if I held the wireless device within one foot of the WAP4410N and even then I would only get 1 bar of signal strength.

Upgraded firmware from 2.0.2.1 to 2.0.3.3 but still having problem.

Hey George,

Have you done a wireless scan of the network to see what the wireless network looks like?

I would use the program INSSIDER on a wireless laptop and scan the network for all the 2.4ghz networks.

This will allow you to select a channel that is not being used and should stabilize your wireless.

If someone is within range of your wireless signal and their signal is strong enough they can disrupt your signal.

I would try that and let us know how it goes.

Ran the INSSIDER software and tried every unused channel I could find. Still didnt solve the problem/
