Goodday,
i have recently purchased a Cisco WAP561 (serial number: DNI1819A0ZA , wired MAC address 189C5D3F32A0) and i have connected it via a Cisco PoE injector (SN: CMS2039ZZE4) and followed the installation guide up to the connection part. The device appears to boot correctly (power light: blinking green, wireless light: off, ethernet light: on/flashing) but no DHCP requests are ever made on the ethernet port (verified by running Wireshark on the eth0 device the cable is connected to) and the default fallback address 192.168.1.254 (as specified by the manual) remains unreachable.
I have read that this might be related to previous/testing factory configurations on some devices, therefore i have performed the 10 seconds reset button push (to no avail), the 30 seconds one (to no avail) and then the 90 seconds one (just to be sure) but the behaviour remains the same: when i press the button the power led turns red, then i release the button after X time (as above) and the device reboots, in the same identical conditions as before.
What more can i do to debug this issue?
thanks for yout attention,
regards
