All,
Recently purchased a WAP581 (arrived with firmware 1.0.2.0) - which oddly enough is NOT available via Cisco's downloads???
That aside, was trying to get the Guest Portal running, however the WAP doesn't appear to be redirecting the client properly. Given the failure of the 301 redirect for an Apple device, concerned that this is broken for any/all other devices where interception of the client's captive portal URL request should be redirected.
Client is redirected to the WAP and sends (This is the expected request by an Apple client):
GET /hotspot-detect.html HTTP/1.0
Host: captive.apple.com
Connection: close
User-Agent: CaptiveNetworkSupport-390.60.1 wispr
The response it gets (which should be a 301 redirect to the AUP page and isn't):
HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Server: mini_httpd/1.19 19dec2003
Date: Thu, 19 Mar 2020 00:02:25 GMT
Cache-Control: no-cache,no-store
Content-Type: text/html; charset=%s
Connection: close

</BODY>
</HTML>
Has anyone else run into this? If yes, what was the solution?
Thanks!
