1131ag and intel 3945abg (wpa2/open auth) not sending traffic

I have a 1131ag running 12.3.8 jea. I am trying to use an intel 3945abg adapter to connect to the AP using WPA2 and open auth. I can connect to the ap, but I cannot get any traffic through the ap. The ap can ping the router and other devices and the intel client can ping the ap but the client(supplicant) cannot ping or get THROUGH the ap to the wired network. I have tried this with and without vlans,dot1q etc.

Ensure whether the client is associated by checking the ap's association table

check whether any mac filtering or ACL is applied for this client .

I had an issue where my 3945ABG wouldn't connect at all. After lots of fighting with it, Intel finally released a driver that works and it is on their site now called V11.1.0.5_XP32.exe
