1232AP vs. 1242AP

What is the major reason why a newer AP, the 1242, is $100 less than the older 1232AP.

I see the data specs for each and see 1242 has more power options and appears to have better coverage in the g mode.

So why is it $100 less? Im want to nkow the difference so I can order the right one. I am referring to the IOS version of these devices (AIR-AP1232AG-x-K9)and AIR-AP1242AG-x-K9

Don't know that answer, but what you should do is purchase the AIR-AP1242AG-x-K9 since you can get it cheaper and because the AIR-AP1232AG-x-K9 will be end of life before the 1242. Most new installs we do we ill use either the 1252 or the 1242. Hope this answers your question.
