2 wlc licenses after HA

Hello guys.

I have 2 standalone WLC, each with 100 AP licenses. I want to use them as HA. Can someone explain me what will happen to the licenses? Is there any risk that I could loose licenses? Can I have 200 AP licenses after use wlcs in HA mode?

which WLC model and SW vesrion you are using ?

It is 5508, version 8.1.120.0

how much base and how much adder license zou have on secondary WLC.

Info: you need 50 ap license on 5508 wlc(secondary) to convert in HA-SKU.

Means..

Primary WLC: 100 AP license

Secondary: 50 AP license required to convert to HA and rest 50(ony adder license) you can transfer to primary WLC.

so in total...after conversion..you will have:

Primary WLC: 150

Secondary WLC: HA-SKU - 500 AP connection support in case of Primary WLC is down

I dont have adder license, all are base license. Overall, noway to keep 200 licenses in HA mode?
As I said, I have 100 licenses in each WLC. So the primary wlc will keep its 100 licenses, but the secondary one which I will change its mode to HA will loose 50 licenses of from its 100m license?
Finally I will have 150 license?

I am not sure that you can transfer base AP license from Secondary WLC. BUt you can enquire from your supplier or Cisco TAC.

As far as i know, you cant transfer base license !!!
