2504 as anchor controller

Hi,

today I have a quite simple question. I want to use a 2504 WLC as guest anchor controller in a DMZ.

Until now I only deployed 2504 in LAG/Etherchannel configuration, so I'm unsure if my plan works:

I need to have different physical interfaces for the encapsulated EoIP traffic and the actual decapsulated guest traffic.

So I want to have something like this:

Management Interface: VLAN 10 / assigned to port 1 and backup port 2

Dynamic Interface: VLAN 11 / assigned to port 3 and backup port 4

I understand that there is a document with a few use cases:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11630/products_tech_note09186a0080b8450c.shtml

But no of these cases really matches my requirements.

Is my design a possible and supported solution?

Of course the redundant switches on WLC port 1 and 2 share one common layer-2 subnet. The same is the case for port 3 and 4.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Johannes

yes that will work.  So long as you are not running LAG you can split your ports.
