5508 Controller LAG Failing DNS?

Hi we have a 5508 series controller, we're using port 1 and 2 with LAG enabled. If I unplug the cable from port 2 anything that relies on DNS starts failing, I'm able to ping based on IP address just not by name. when it's plugged back in it's fine. What could be wrong with our configuration?

can you post the switch ports config ? Are the ports on the same switch ?

Yes the ports are on the same switch, it looks to be a bug, I've got a TAC case open and they've provided me with a new controller image to try.

The ports are configured as follows.

interface GigabitEthernet4/0/31 and 33

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport trunk native vlan 2

switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,5,8,12,16  switchport mode trunk  mls qos trust cos  channel-group 5 mode on

interface Port-channel5

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport trunk native vlan 2

switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,5,8,12,16  switchport mode trunk
