5508 to 5520 replacement procedure

Hi,

I will be swopping out a 5508 with a new 5520, the 5508 currently runs  8.3.143.0, i'd appreciate any advise on making the process as smooth as possible.

It acts as Anchor for all DMZ SSIDs and therefore connects to the Internet, our WLC2 has all the APs connected to it.

So is this a single controller or multiple controller. What I would do is configure the new 5520 manually and bring that up in production so that you run both controllers, then you setup mobility between the old and new and start to swing a few AP's first to test and verify everything is working, then move all the other ap's over. With that being said, it would help to see a diagram of your setup or more details on how many controllers, ap's, etc. Did you also verify that the code you are running on the 5520 supports the access points you have?
