Is there an expected time frame for the next release in the 8.0 train?

 - Please elaborate ; why are you expecting a next release ? Which issues are you experiencing in the current train ? (You'll get more feedback if you provide these info's too).

Mostly that 8.0 is a long-lived train so I'd expect bug fixes to get rolled up into releases. The recommended release page does talk about an escalation special for running some APs on 8.0, I'd expect that to get normalised with a proper release eventually.

We've got users reporting connectivity problems with some devices since we upgraded to 8.0.140, but nothing concrete enough to raise a TAC case. I don't want to go backwards from the recommended release, but was hoping for a new release to see if that improved things.

I also have this question and have been eagerly waiting for the official 8.0MR5 release for a while.

I believe it was originally scheduled to be released in 01/2017 but that has obviously slipped. It now shows as sometime in 2017 as an estimate. I've tried asking TAC twice for a more specific date but not gotten one. 

You may want to consider an interim release. Latest release appears to be 8.0.141.46. You can also get the interim releases from TAC.
