Hi All,

Does any one know if Cisco's WLC's or NCS can detect a rouge access point operating on channel 14 when configured for country code GB?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

#Wireless>> 802.11 b/g/n>> Noise/Interference/Rogue/CleanAir1 Monitoring Channels >> channel list>> By default 'All Channels' are selected.

#With above config, AP on cc-GB won't broadcast any info however it can listen for rogues on all valid channels without violating fcc. However, AP on cc-GB can't contain or RLDP on Rogue using ch-14.

#If it didn't detect rogues then let know.

That's a great question and I don't know for sure. I want to say no. I want to say the ap will only scan channels its country code is configured for.

Maybe one of the Cisco guys can confirm.
