We did a survey with B radios and now we are deploying G. Will there be a coverage change? I'm not concerned about what rate they associate at, just that they can associate period. Dop we need to resurvey with the G radios?

If you dont worry about what rate they associate, you should be fine by replacing g radios with b radios. A G radio at 30 mw and B radio at 100 mw will give the same coverage of 11 Mbps at 160 feet (considering ideal conditions). Within the 160 feet radius speed for the G radio will increase from 11Mbps to 12, 18, 24, 36 48 or 54 Mbps.

Outside the 160 feet radius the rate/coverage for the 802.11b and g radio is identical.
