8510 IRCM Image

Hi All,

I am planning to configure security mobility between a 8510 WLC and 9800 WLC. To support this I need to upgrade the 8510 from 8.5.171.0 to an IRCM supported release. I have checked Cisco downloads and there are a few IRCM images to choose from however I am unsure if there is a specific image I should use in my deployment or just go with the latest and TAC recommended version (currently 8.5.182.104)?

Any advice appreciated

 - Ref : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html , check Table 1 and column mentioning Cisco AireOS-IRCM Interoperability. You could probably use a TAC recommended AireOS release provide these compatibilities are OK

Current recommended is 8.5.182.104 so that's what you should use.

Yes I would go with 8.5.182.104 & follow below document when configuring. I assume this is for Guest anchoring use case
