Access Point not resetting properly

John Rhodes

Hi all I hope you can help me  I have a faulty Cisco AIR-LAP1143N-E-K9 wireless access point that I got second hand and I was wondering if there is any way to fix it before I try to send it back.

The error I think I am getting is when trying to reset the AP it seems to just stop at this point “Mar  1 00:13:32.645: %DHCP-6-ADDRESS_ASSIGN: Interface BVI1 assigned DHCP address 10.114.187.118, mask 255.255.255.0, hostname ap”

When I first start the AP I hold in the mode button until it turns red then when it has finished booting I use the reset command (I have done this to over 20 AP’s recently all worked fine) but this access point just stops at this point and never appears in the admin interface.

I have attached the full log of what happens when viewing in putty.

Any information you can give me will be very much appreciated.

Regards,

John
