The licensing guide indicates the WCS base license is appropriate for an environment with 500 lightweight access points. However, later in the same document, it provides an example to upgrade the base license to support 800 APs. Is there a limit to the number of APs supported with the base license (other than server capacity)?
I am not performing a WLSE-WLC conversion.
We are running version 7.0.172.0.
I am using the licensing guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5755/ps6301/ps6305/product_data_sheet0900aecd804b4646.html

The differnece between the licenses is all about features. IF you aren't needing anything advanced you can have a base license up to the max your server can handle.
