What switch are you plugging it into? According to this it has to be a 3650/3850/4500/6500

have 3650 switch and compatible with access points , i am asking about the configuration , do i have to configure only from switch side ? Or do configuration from both sides

It should work automatically. Just connect the ports. autonegotiation will form the etherchannel.

Salam Mohamed,

The auto-port channel with this AP is only supported with specific switch models. that are:

  • Catalyst 3850 / all models (non-CA mode)
  • Catalyst 3650 / all models (non-CA mode)
  • Catalyst 4500/Sup-8E
  • Catalyst 6500/Sup 720 or newer

This is what Cisco documents specify. So, if you don't have one of the above models, I am not sure if it will work. But you try to put the port channel ON (no negotiation) and try if it works.

Regards,

Amjad

One search with google and I found a helpful document with configuration included:

Good luck!
