That usually happens when the AP boots. After a few minutes you should be able to configure the AP. If you are not, then you may be hitting this issue https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/field-notices/701/fn70143.html

If it is only one AP, open a TAC case to get it recovered.

Uh-oh.  Post the complete output to the AP command "sh inventory".

NOTE:  It is important NOT to edit the serial number.

hi Leo,

Please find output to the AP command "sh inventory"

AME: AP3800, DESCR: Cisco Aironet 3800 Series (IEEE 802.11ac) Access Point

Raise a TAC Case and get TAC to upload a different AP firmware to this AP.

Hi Leo,

We don't have TAC support.
I was tried upload new firmware to break ap boot order but it's going u-boot>>

can you help me here how to upload firmware through  u-boot>>

If the AP is in u-boot, what happens when you enter the command "dhcp"?
Post the complete output to the u-boot command "pri".

I have the same problem too.
conversion to capwap to mobility ...
it does not take the dhcp from the "router" and I can not send the new firmware to TFPT.

how can I update the firmware ????

From u-boot, enter the command "dhcp" and see what happens next.

Can you plug a PC into the same port and see if the PC can get a valid IP address?

Hi Fmproit,

Raise a TAC Case and get TAC to upload a different AP firmware to this AP.

Leo: obviously the 2 devices are on the same lan with dhcp from router

My serial number is not in the list of defects

If you explain how to load a new firmware from u-boot can I do it without opening a TAC ???

When the AP was in u-boot, you entered the command "dhcp".  This would've enabled the AP to obtain a valid IP address.  But it didn't.  So I suspect something is wrong with the DHCP config.

with the dhcp command I always have the usual error.
The Ap is connected directly to the router, like all other devices.
