AIR-CB21AG-A-K9 drivers incombatible with Compaq 1020v?

Just purchased the Cisco AIR-CB21AG-A-K9 for my laptop and for some reason when I try to install either the old driver or new driver it completely locks up. When I install the software with the card in (Before any driver is present) it does fine until the installer tries to load the driver. Then the whole system locks up tigher than a drum. And the only way to get it back is to reboot with the card out (Locks up when the driver loads if you leave it in) Then you can delete the driver and install it again. Anyone else ran into similiar issues?

(if you are running XP) Have you applied SP2?

What is the state of the "Zero Wireless Configuration" service at the time you insert your Cisco NIC?

What version of the NIC drivers are you using? As of a couple weeks ago, I believe the current version is Wizard 2.1.

Follow the downloads | wireless path and get the latest drivers ... there are / were, Ah ...Um, "issues" with some of the 1.X flavors....
