Hi All
I'm trying to configure my Cisco 1131 to act as a DHCP server but the aironet shows 169.24.x.x address for the clients (state = associated). The DHCP scope is configured as per the cisco documentation- 172.16.1.0 255.255.255.0 etc.
If i manually configure the wireless client in the same scope the association is OK, but even if the maunally configured client is connected, it cannot connect to the internet or ping the gateway (77.x.x.x). The aironet can ping the gateway OK so is this a routing issue? Thx!

I changed the BVI interface to 172.16.1.1 (same subnet as the dhcp scope) and it worked.
I set the BVI interface default gateway to the fastethernet ip address. i set the fastethernet default gateway to the ISP default gateway but no joy- the clients cant see the internet
The clients can ping the fastethernet ip but not the ISP gateway. The airnoet can ping the ISP gateway from the CLI. ANy ideas ? i'm sure this is close to working : )

are you doing any NATing to the private/internal ip ?

No.
I dont have admin access to the ISP router. so does that i mean i need to put in a layer 3 switch in between the AP and the ISP router?
