Weird situation I have here. This is a testbed wireless network we have up and running before we start rolling it out on a wider scale, so trying to iron out all the little problems.
This morning one of our boxes just up and stopped dhcping, no change to the box, just wont pull an IP address through anymore. It authenticates fine, then after XP times out trying to get an ip it gives it a windows default. The router will displays this in the association window, but will not allow the router to ping that ip address. Any ideas?
2nd thing, All the D-link adapters appear as repeaters rather than clients.
3rd thing, Can the Router pass through DHCP requests and if it doesnt get a response, act as a DHCP server to the box?
Finally, Boxes are using D-LINK USB Wireless adapters (which I'm not too happy with at the moment as it appears that the d-link provided drivers have some conflict with via chipsets and freeze systems). Can anyone suggest some good alternative wireless adapters that will work with that aironet 1200 and across a variety of motherboard chipsets

Are you doing any type of security on the AP such as wep/leap?. If you are, ensure that you have enabled 'full encryption' under the ap radio data encryption section (wep). If not, than please ensure that 'allow broadcast ssid to associate' is enabled under the ap radio hardware page.

Using 128bit WEP encryption ... cannot see any 'full encryption' option on the AP, using IOS 12.2(15)JA.

We usually have our customers use Proxim and Linksys USB adapters for desktops.
We did encounter some issues with D-link adapters.
Here is the link to the Proxim...
