I have recently acquired a Cisco Aironet 1200 AP with 802.11b radio and I do not have the admin user id and password. There is a user id and password required to access both the web interface and the RS232 console port -- making it (seemingly) impossible to perform any of the commands that would allow me to reset the unit to its default configuration. Reset using the mode button at power on does not work either. Can anyone out there provide any hints how to access this device?

if you are using the CLI (serial) then use nothing for user name and "Cisco" for password.
Don't use TELNET. Disconnet the AP from the network and try.

If you need user name try "Cisco" with password "Cisco" also.
Make sure you type CAPITAL "C" the login is case sensitive.

Many thanks to all who have replied. I was able to access the device. I think my biggest problem was that I was trying to issue the "reset all" command without the ":" at the beginning.
